Kit Overview
Founded in 2013, SeaTox Research Inc is dedicated to discovering new potentials from ocean resources. Our research foci consist of two interconnected arms: drug discovery and development of natural products into new bioactives, and developing user-friendly bioassay tests for marine toxins that contaminate commercial seafood. We utilize natural marine resources to improve global health and well-being.

Jennifer McCall, PhD MBA
Chief Executive Officer
Expertise in marine toxins, biochemistry, immunology, cell biology
Dr. Jennifer McCall is the co-founder and CEO of SeaTox Research. Her work focuses on bioassay development for marine toxins and drug discovery from marine natural products. Jennifer received her PhD from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where her research focused on the interface of immunology and endocrinology. In addition, she received her MBA in the business of biotechnology from UNC Wilmington. She has subject matter expertise in biochemistry, cell biology, and marine science. She serves on various grant review boards and is a professor in clinical research.

Sam McCall, MS
Chief Operating Officer
Expertise in cell biology, immunology, microbiology
Sam McCall is the co-founder and COO of SeaTox Research. His work focuses on integrating biotechnology into product development and translating scientific innovations into useful products for the public. Sam has an MS in immunology/microbiology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and has spent almost two decades working in technical sales and product management in various managerial and executive roles. He has subject matter expertise in cell biology, microbiology, analytical chemistry, translational science and technical marketing.
